The Bike Tag Game about

BikeTag is a mystery photo tagging game played on bicycles — part scavenger hunt, part urban adventure, and always a great excuse to ride. Players find the location shown in a photo (the “tag”), snap their own picture at the same spot, and then post a new photo from somewhere else in the city for the next player to chase.
You don’t need an account to play — just a bike, a camera, and a good eye. BikeTag.Org makes it easy to browse recent tags in your city and jump into the game whenever you’re ready.
The origins of BikeTag trace back to 2007 on a Minneapolis forum called MPLSBikeLove. From there, it spread across Reddit, with games popping up in Austin (/r/BikingATX), Los Angeles (/r/bikeLA), Chicago (/r/chibike), and Portland (/r/CyclePDX). BikeTag.org was launched in 2018 to support the growing Portland game, and has since become a hub for games around the world.
BikeTag continues to grow through community creativity and the joy of riding bikes through familiar — and unfamiliar — places.

What Is A BikeTag? about

A BikeTag is a photo taken at a public location that becomes the next target in the game of BikeTag — a bicycle-based photo scavenger hunt. Players ride to the spot shown in the current tag, take a matching photo, and post a new one to keep the game going.
Each BikeTag is part of a chain of photos that encourages exploration, creativity, and community through cycling. You can view recent BikeTags on the map, try to find the current one, or start a new game in your own city.
